In Britain, blacks in every sphere, from discrimination / police to politics, feel that they are being treated double, 58% of blacks believe the government is racist

London. Demonstrations continue throughout the country following the assassination of black George Floyd in the US by police. Meanwhile, American news channel CNN conducted a survey about blacks. It included 1535 British citizens, who are over 18 years of age. Around 500 black people also participated in this survey conducted from 12 to 14 June. The survey took the opinion of white, black, and other minorities on different parameters.

Opinion about the behavior of the police

Both white and black have different opinions about the police. According to this survey, about 49 percent of blacks believe that the police do not treat them properly. Whereas the number of whites who believe in this is 26%. With this, 6 out of every 10 people, or about 59 percent of blacks, believe that the police do not treat their family members properly.

At the same time, there are only three out of 10 whites who feel that the police do not treat their family well. If we believe this survey, 54% of blacks feel that the police are institutionalist racists. Whereas white people account for 27% of the population.

There are frequent performances in the UK about Black Lives Matter. There are a large number of people who feel that blacks are not treated properly.

Opinions about who promoted colonialism

According to the poll, 66 percent of blacks have problems with the idols of people who promoted the slave trade or colonialism. At the same time, the number of whites who believe in this is less than half, about 30%. With this, 6 out of every 10, ie 60% of blacks are in favor of removing these idols. At the same time, the number of people who believe in this is three out of 10, which is about 28 percent.

The lack of space in the media

About 67 percent of blacks believe that they are being given very little space for participation in the media. At the same time, the number of whites who believe in this is around 27%. About 44 percent of whites believe that blacks get a fair place in the media, while the number of blacks who agree with them is around 17%.

Nearly 50 percent of whites believe that the media neither behaves very well nor behaves badly with blacks. At the same time, the number of blacks who agree to them is 21 percent. About 48 percent of blacks believe they are treated worse than white class celebrities.

64 percent of blacks say that Britain has not taken any effective steps to reduce racial violence.

Fewer opportunities for blacks in professional life

Talking about success in professional life, about 69% of blacks believe they are not allowed to move because of their color, they have less opportunity than whites. At the same time, the number of whites who agree to them is 29%.

Opinion about the government

People also expressed their opinion about the current Boris government (Conservative Party) of Britain. 58 percent of blacks believe that the government is institutionally racist, while 39 percent of whites agree with them. On the other hand, if they see their opinion about the opposition's Labor Party, about 31 percent of blacks believe that it is institutionally racist, while the number of whites who agree to it is 34 percent.

About 64 percent of blacks believe that the United Kingdom (UK) has addressed historical racial injustice much less, while 35 percent of whites have agreed. At the same time, around 27% of blacks feel that the UK has done much to reduce racial injustice. The number of white people who agree to them is 54 percent.
