That is, the DA to the state employees will now increase from 12 to 17%. Seven lakh employees of the state and 4.5 lakh pensioners will get the benefit.
The dearness allowance for employees from July 1, 2019 to February 2020 will be deposited in GPF. The remainder will be credited to the April salary. The Finance Department sent the file for an increase in DA to the Chief Minister this week. After approving the proposal, the file has been sent back from the CMO to the Finance Department on Friday.
