Mangalwad (Chittorgarh). Every day about five thousand people are being served here for the last five days. A team of twenty confectioners and 40 members working hard for 12 hours every day is not only preparing food for the needy laborers and people but also feeding them food.
The 21-day lockdown due to Coronavirus has taken only three days, but it has created a crisis to feed the poor. Shri Seva Mitra Mandal of Mangalwad has come forward to help such poor families.
The food items and food packets are being delivered by the colleagues of Mandal President Shanti Lal Mandawat from March 21 so that no one can sleep hungry. Shri Seva Mitra Mandal has so far distributed three thousand prepared food packets, five kg flour, 300 grams lentils, oil salt chili, turmeric to more than two thousand helpless families.
Many laborer's buses from Gujarat and Maharashtra are leaving on foot due to the closure of all means. Those who are hungry for four to five days, the members of Shri Seva Mitra Mandal are feeding such people on the highway. As soon as the food is found, the eyes of the laborers become watery.
There are 20 confectioners and 40 members working in Shri Seva Mitra Mandal, who are feeding five thousand people daily from seven in the morning to seven in the evening. Information about this is being sent daily to the District Magistrate of Chittorgarh, Badisadadi, and Dungla Subdivision Dungla Tehsildar. The administration is also appreciating this.
