Return of stranded people due to corona / 748 Indians stranded in Pakistan will start from Thursday, will come to India via Wagah border

Islamabad Pakistan and other neighboring countries closed their borders due to coronavirus. Due to this, Indian citizens are stranded in many countries. Now 748 Indian nationals stranded in Pakistan will return to their country from Thursday. The federal government has finalized all procedures for his return home.

According to government sources, Indian citizens will come to India from Pakistan via Wagah border in several phases. It will be launched on 25 June. This process will be completed in three phases. The Indian Embassy in Pakistan is in touch with the civilians trapped there. According to information received from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Indian citizens will be brought from the Wagah border in three phases. A list of citizens has been sent to the concerned departments and the Punjab Rangers.

Wagah border to be opened from 25 to 27 June

250 in the first phase on Thursday, 250 in the second phase on Friday, and 248 Indians will return to their country in the third phase on Saturday. As per the order, the Wagah border will be opened from 25 to 27 June. The government of Pakistan has informed its immigration officials at the Wagah border about the return of Indian citizens. Citizens returning from there will be quarantined for 14 days.

250 citizens from India have also gone to Pakistan

However, citizens of Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh will be quarantined in their own state. Pakistan has also told the authorities here about the return of its citizens trapped in India. About 250 Pakistani nationals have returned from India so far, while no information has been given about the return of the remaining citizens.
